National Quality Framework

In 2009 the Council of Australian Governments agreed to a National Quality Agenda for Early Childhood Education and Care. This incorporates the National Quality Framework which consists of:

The National Quality Standard A national quality rating and assessment process A Regulatory Authority in each state

The National Quality Standard encompasses seven quality areas

  1. Educational Program and Practice
  2. Children’s Health and Safety
  3. Physical Environment
  4. Staffing Arrangements
  5. Relationships with children
  6. Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
  7. Leadership and service management

The new Early Learning Framework – ELYF – is within the National Quality Standard.

In the national assessment process we received the rating of "Exceeding the National Standard."
