National Quality Framework
In 2009 the Council of Australian Governments agreed to a National Quality Agenda for Early Childhood Education and Care. This incorporates the National Quality Framework which consists of:
The National Quality Standard A national quality rating and assessment process A Regulatory Authority in each state
The National Quality Standard encompasses seven quality areas
- Educational Program and Practice
- Children’s Health and Safety
- Physical Environment
- Staffing Arrangements
- Relationships with children
- Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
- Leadership and service management
The new Early Learning Framework – ELYF – is within the National Quality Standard.
In the national assessment process we received the rating of "Exceeding the National Standard."
