Partnerships with Families

At Narrabeen Community Kindergarten we value collaborative partnerships with families in the education of their children. We encourage family input into our daily program through discussion and feedback facilities.

• Term 1 we hold an information evening so you can meet the educators, get to know the program and learn how community kindergartens run.

• Individual parent teacher interviews are conducted twice a year.

Parents are also invited to become involved in the children's activities, eg: gardening, cooking, reading small group stories or visiting the kindergarten as a resource person sharing your special interests and skills. Families also share their diverse cultural backgrounds, where we learn about home languages, cooking and traditions. 

Grandparents and special friends are invited for a morning tea. We host Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations.
